    Fitch’s defense stymies Riverside

    PAINESVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Fitch’s defense forced 3 turnovers in its week four 17-3 win over Riverside.

    The defensive unit has allowed just 3-points to be scored over the course of the last two games (versus GlenOak and Riverside).

    Deonte Stallings had an interception while John Vaughn and Dylan Krohn each recovered a fumble. Damarr Rogers finished with a team-high 12-tackles and 2 ½ quarterback sacks. Krohn (11) and Rocco DiFlorio (10) each had two tackles for a loss and closed out the night with 10-plus defensive stops.

    On offense, the Falcons’ rushing attack was led by Deon’Dray Richard (57 yards, TD), Junie Higgs (55 yards) and quarterback Davanzo Tate (21 yards, TD).

    Tate also threw for 99 yards on 13 completions. Eight of those were thrown to Brady Evans (49 yards).

    Fitch will next play at Buchtel on Saturday. Riverside (1-3) will travel to Boardman on Friday, September 20.
