CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Cleveland Guardians All Star left fielder Steven Kwan is undergoing medical tests on his back.

Two hours prior to the first pitch on Friday night, he was scratched from the lineup for Game 2 in the series against Tampa Bay.

The Guardians said the reason he was scratched was due to “body fatigue.”

Manager Stephen Vogt told reporters that Kwan was experiencing “back soreness.”

The 27-year-old missed four weeks with a hamstring strain earlier this season.

This season, he is batting .291 with 13 home runs, 43 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.
