Grove City rebounds; Jaxyn Wilson scores 5 TDs

GROVE CITY, Pa . (WKBN) – Grove City bounced back from its first loss of the season last week to Titusville by running away from Slippery Rock, 42-7, on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 3-1.

Jaxyn Wilson scored five touchdowns on the ground – 11 and seven-yard runs in the first half, followed by three more in the final 24 minutes.

The Eagles led at halftime, 14-7, before outscoring the Rockets, 28-0, in the second half.

Grove City’s quarterback Lucas McCreadie found Clayton Martin on a 25-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Next up for Grove City is a home game against Fort LeBoeuf (3-1) on Friday.

Slippery Rock falls to 1-3 with a matchup with Sharpsville (3-1) on Friday at home.
