YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown State University was upset by Duquesne 28-25 at home on Saturday afternoon.

The Dukes outscored YSU 14-8 in the second half to take down the 20th-ranked Penguins.

After a YSU field goal to open up the scoring, the Dukes responded with a touchdown drive to take the 7-3 lead.

Then, a Beau Brungard one-yard touchdown run followed by a five-yarder from Tyshon King put the Penguins back on top, and they led 17-14 at the break.

Duquesne would retake a 21-17 lead on a five-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

It would stay that score for much of the fourth quarter as the Dukes came up with multiple key defensive stops down the stretch before Jamario Clements ripped off a 75-yard touchdown to seal it.

Clements finished with 12 carries for 204 yards and a touchdown.

YSU falls to 1-2 on the season after the loss and travels to Pitt on Saturday, Sept. 21.
