MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) – The Boil Water Advisory impacting some residents in Mercer County has been lifted, according to Aqua Pennsylvania.

The advisory had been in place since Friday, but as of 5 p.m. on Sunday Aqua says customers can resume normal use of water after test samples showed no danger to drinking water in that area.

About 1,000 customers near and around Mercer Borough were affected.

The company says a water pipe failure caused the issue and crews worked quickly to make necessary repairs.
