NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The new season of Jeopardy is underway and later this week, a familiar face will be on the game show.

Niles native Sam Neuman will be a contestant Wednesday night. He’s a 1999 grad of McKinley High School but now lives in New York City. His mother still lives in the area.

Being picked for Jeopardy fulfills a lifelong dream which started when he was competing in the Prep Bowl during high school.

“When I actually got up to the podium right before the show started, I had a minute where I thought, oh, my God, I’ve made a terrible mistake. Everyone’s gonna see this. But I took a deep breath, and I just thought about how much I’ve wanted this, and I looked in the camera, and I started playing,” Neuman said.

The show was taped in May but Neuman’s episode airs at 7:30 Wednesday on WKBN 27.
