AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A helicopter was brought Wednesday to help with another phase of construction of the new Meijer being built in Austintown.

The helicopter was high above Mahoning Avenue.

It helped install the HVAC system for the store. This process involved lifting the equipment up and allowing crews to secure it to the structure.

A few people actually stopped along Mahoning Avenue to watch it.

“I’ll never miss an opportunity to stand, watch some aircraft fly around, even if it is setting air conditioners on the roof,” said Joseph Buzzelli, of Austintown.

The Meijer is expected to be open by the end of next year.
