Victim, suspect identified in fatal shooting: PSP

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. (WKBN) — Pennsylvania State Police have identified the victim as well as the suspect involved in a deadly shooting at a business in Lawrence County.

Ellwood City Police Department was called to Ellwood City Forge just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday for reports of a shooting that occurred within the facility.

A police report provided by PSP states that when authorities arrived, Timothy Bollman, 36, of Fombell, Pennsylvania was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

PSP identified Timothy Woods, 31, as the shooting suspect. Woods was taken into custody after attempting to flee the area on foot.

Ellwood City Forge stated Woods was an intruder in the business and Bollman was an employee of the company.

“On behalf of the entire ELLWOOD City Forge team, we are shocked and saddened by this event and our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of everyone impacted by this situation,” said Valli Senthilnathan, ELLWOOD City Forge President. “Our team experienced an awful event and terrible loss last night. The safety and wellbeing of our team members is our primary concern, and we will work with them to provide the support and resources needed as we process this tragedy.”

The company said no other team members were injured. The facility will remain closed through the weekend.

Reports state Woods will face charges of criminal homicide, firearms not to be carried without a license, and recklessly endangering another person. He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail to await arraignment Friday morning. He is set to return to court again Sept. 26.
