STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) — Prosecutors tell First News a local teen has been charged in connection to a domestic violence incident.

Police were called just after 1 a.m. Saturday for reports of an assault. Authorities spoke to the victim, who said that she and a 17-year-old boy — who is known to her — were arguing on their way home from a Friday night party when he became physically aggressive.

The victim told police the boy refused to let her leave his vehicle, later grabbing her by the neck and throwing her to the ground, according to a police report from the incident. Reports state the pair was wrestling on the front lawn of the victim’s yard on Elm Street when another person stepped in to separate them, at which point the boy left.

The homeowner witnessed the teen hitting the victim and called police, according to reports.

The victim was treated on scene for her injuries by Struthers Fire Department.

Prosecutors tell First News the accused assailant is facing a misdemeanor charge of assault and felony charge of strangulation.

First News is not naming the alleged assailant because he is under the age of 18.

Gerry Ricciutti contributed to this report.

If you raise a 17 year old child baby and you never disciplined him, what the fuck do you think that the police are going to do for you. You have failed as a parent. You may as well have fed him under his bedroom door with a shovel. Nobody can help that. Only he can change by himself now. Great job, hoover, parents who believe that everyone should be treated the same. Send the poor kid to the basic training of his choice and put the parents through a parenting class at a Christian university. I'm not the judge and jury but you idiots have fucked up your kids! Stop blaming the police for your mistakes. Protect and serve, not babysit and coddle.
