YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The dining hall at St. Vincent de Paul in Youngstown is moving and making some changes as it prepares to move into a new home.

Friday, it will begin moving from the current location at the former St. Cyril and Methodius Church to the Broadway Community Campus.

The diocese has plans to renovate, prompting the move, but the meals won’t stop.

Starting next week, they will serve to-go meals in the parking lot of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as they transition to their new facility on Oct. 7.

“Our dining hall will be larger. The kitchen is larger which is good for the clients and the volunteers serving. But we also have a relationship with Broadway Recovery Services. Their people help us a couple days a week,” said Alan Ricks, Society of St. Vincent Mahoning District Council.

Weekday meal service times will remain as normal Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Meals will still be served at the current location until Friday then the to-go meals will be served at Mt. Carmel from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4.

Meal service begins at the new location Oct. 7.

There is no Saturday breakfast planned for the next two weeks during the move.
