BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – There’s plenty of motivation in this one, Cardinal Mooney is seeking to turn around its season. Boardman’s looking to get back on track after a week 5 loss.

The Spartans found the end zone first, when quarterback Zach Haus connected with Ryan Smith on a 41-yard touchdown pass to give Boardman a 7-0 lead towards the end of the 1st quarter.

Then in the 2nd quarter, Haus added another passing touchdown when he found CJ Rice from 18 yards out to push the Boardman lead out to 14-0 with 4:06 left in the first half.

Cardinal Mooney finally got on the board just before then end of the 3rd quater, with Vince Gentile capping off a long scoring drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to pull within a score as the Cardinals trail 14-6.
