WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — A man who ran from police a day after a warrant was issued for his arrest and gathered more charges as a result appeared in court for both cases this week.

Christian White pleaded guilty Thursday to the charge of obstructing official business. A charge of resisting arrest was dismissed. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 10 days served. He will also serve two years of probation.

The charges stem from a Sept. 17 incident where reports state White ran from police and later ate unknown pills before they could be seized by police during his arrest.

As for the felony burglary warrant White was wanted on, he pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge of aggravated trespass. Court records show he will be on probation for that charge.

Further records show White was indicted earlier in the year on unrelated felony charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a peace officer and possession of a fentanyl-related compound. He is set for a jury trial Oct. 7 on those charges.
