Mercer County man sentenced for indecent assault of teen girls

MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) – A West Middlesex man was sentenced earlier this week for indecent assault of two teen girls in February 2023.

Shane Slicker, 25, of West Middlesex, was sentenced to one to two years in prison on two counts of unlawful contact with a minor/indecent assault and will have to serve seven years of probation when he gets out on a charge of criminal use of a communication device.

Slicker will also have to register as a sexually violent offender for 25 years. The sentence was agreed upon by all parties, according to court records.

Shane was originally charged in March 2023 with the assault of two teenage girls that took place in February 2023. He then incurred the communication charge while he was incarcerated at the Mercer County Jail.

Investigators say Shane’s phone calls and visitations were monitored when he contacted family members of the victims and asked his parents to speak to them on his behalf . Three members of Shane’s family pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct charges in the case.
