    Local venue looking for community/inclusion coordinator

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The City of Youngstown and JAC Management Group have teamed up to hire a coordinator for the Wean Park Complex that is focused on community and inclusion.

    The Wean Park Complex encompasses the Covelli Centre, Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, Wean Park’s great lawn and Huntington Bank Community Alley.

    The coordinator will be responsible for connecting with residents on a “grassroots level,” working directly with community groups, churches, neighborhood associations and downtown businesses to build relationships and create “quality of life events and seasonal programming.”

    The position will fall under the direction of the Community Engagement & Inclusion Committee (CEIC) to ensure that events are reflective of the community and represent diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, socioeconomic status, education, marital status, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, mental or physical abilities of the neighborhoods of the City of Youngstown.

    The job is a subcontracted position under JAC Management Group. The new hire will report to the Group daily and then quarterly to CEIC.
