    Liberty’s running game powers by Newton Falls

    LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – Liberty had fallen in each of its first four games but has won back-to-back contests after their 48-0 victory over Newton Falls.

    The Leopards’ ground attack gained 308 yards.

    Chamir Franklin scored the first two touchdowns of the game for Liberty. Dawaun Moody combined for three touchdowns (2 rushing, 1 passing), while Juju Ferrell caught a touchdown and also ran in another.

    Moody led Liberty with 100 rushing yards, while Franklin raced his way to 81 yards on four attempts.

    For the Tigers, Chace Clonch gained 58 yards as Ethan Powell ran for 47 yards on 8 totes as well. Gage Phares and Zayne Shelton were able to rush for 37 and 34 yards, respectively.

    Newton Falls gained a total of 176 yards.

    Next week, the Leopards (2-4) will be matched against the Garfield G-Men on the road.

    Newton Falls (0-6) will seek its first victory of the season when they face Crestview at home.
