    #3 Mount Union runs away from Baldwin Wallace

    BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) – Mount Union piled up 42 points in the first half during a dominant 52-14 win over Baldwin Wallace in Division III action on Saturday.

    The No. 3 ranked Purple Raiders were led by starting quarterback Noah Beaudrie’s 282 passing yards and 109 rushing yards, while adding three total touchdowns. Wide receiver Jerry Cooper led the way with seven receptions for 112 yards and a score.

    Three different receivers caught a touchdown pass (Cooper, Nick Turner, Tyrell Sanders) and three different players rushed for a touchdown (Beaudrie, Tyler Echeverry, Shaun Thomas) during the strong offensive day.

    On defense, Mount Union racked up four total sacks and a forced fumble that resulted in a 40-yard scoop and score from senior linebacker Marcus Jackson.

    With the win, the Purple Raiders move to 4-0 on the season and will next travel to take on Otterbein on Saturday, Oct. 5 with a 12:30 p.m. scheduled kickoff.
