BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — The 48th annual Boardman Rotary Oktoberfest took place Sunday at Boardman Park.

It’s the area’s largest fundraiser, bringing thousands of people to the community every year.

The one-day event features more than 150 vendors from five neighboring states, selling arts and crafts, jewelry, baked goods, custom products and clothing.

All the money raised will support local schools, organizations and nonprofits.

“We’re always in support of Boardman Local Schools and libraries. So, we always are donating to them and to the libraries. United Way — we help them fund some of the Youngstown damage to the Realty building and that explosion. So, we help them out a lot with funding the hotel stays for the people that were misplaced,” said Mandi Fluck, co-chair of the event.

Those who attended the event helped give back to the community by just paying the entrance fee.
