YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Several artworks featuring the United States flag are on display in the Butler Institute of American Art.

Mateo Blanco is the artist behind the exhibit titled “My United States of America.”

Each flag is a different color or texture. Blanco said it’s the way he sees America — everyone may be a different color or shape, but everyone is still American.

“The love and the passion we have — the love that we have for America. I also have a flag that I love so much. I have one that says “I’m American” and “Yo Soy Americano.” It doesn’t matter what language you speak. You are American.”

It has been a dream of Blanco’s to have his artwork in The Butler.
