    Results in from Austintown OVI checkpoint

    AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The results are in for a checkpoint conducted in Austintown Friday night into early Saturday morning.

    The checkpoint ran from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. in the 400 block of North Canfield Niles Road, near Hollywood Gaming.

    The following enforcement activity was a result:

    • 1 OVI arrest
    • 1 summons for driving under suspension
    • 1 citation for adult restraint
    • 1 summons for an open container of alcohol

    A total of 628 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.

    The Mahoning County OVI Task Force is funded by a federal grant, which is administered through the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
