    Cattle truck crash kills 30-40 cows in Pa.

    HARTLEY TWP., UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report a cattle truck lost control and crashed, killing around 30-40 cows as a result.

    According to PSP, on October 3 troopers were called to the 2000 block of State Route 45 in Hartley Township, Union County for a vehicle crash.

    Union County is in central Pennsylvania.

    Two wanted on vehicle theft charges in Luzerne County

    Through further investigation, troopers discovered that a cattle truck hauling around 90 cows was navigating a curve on the roadway and lost control.

    The truck overturned as a result and in the process, 30-40 cows died, state police stated.

    The remaining cows were taken to a local farm while the driver suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover.
