(WKBN) – Several local cemeteries are getting some money for maintenance.

Each year, the Ohio Department of Commerce awards money to help non-profit cemeteries throughout the state.

This year, the agency chose 45 locations to receive a total of $104,000, including four locally.

Eckis Cemetery, Jackson Township Cemetery and Girard Liberty Union Cemetery will each receive $2,500. Hubbard Union Cemetery will receive $2,000.

The money comes from burial permit fees.
