CLEVELAND (WJW) — A Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted two brothers in a shooting at a Euclid Avenue clothing store that killed an 18-year-old.

Marvin Flemings Jr., 26, and Marquell Flemings, 23, both face charges of aggravated murder, murder, kidnapping, felonious assault and attempted murder in the Sept. 30 incident at Elite clothing store.

Marvin Flemings and his brother Marquell entered the store at about 11:30 a.m., wearing masks and looking for a 38-year-old man, according to a news release from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.

They drew guns and held 18-year-old Tamer Almadi at gunpoint, prosecutors said. While Marquell held up Almadi, Marvin went into the store’s back room looking for the 38-year-old man.

Several gunshots were fired, which struck the brothers, Almadi and the 38-year-old man, according to the release. Before fleeing, Marvin “executed” Almadi and stole firearms from the store.

Almadi was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The 38-year-old victim was treated for his injuries and released.

Marquell Flemings is at a hospital being treated for serious injuries and is in stable condition. Marvin Flemings was treated for his injuries and arrested by Cleveland police.

    The investigation is ongoing.

“This case, unfortunately, is another example of the senseless gun violence that is plaguing our community,” Prosecutor Michael O’Malley is quoted in the release. “As a result of the Flemings brothers’ actions, an 18-year-old young man tragically lost his life.”

On Wednesday, a grand jury indicted Marvin Flemings on:

    • Three counts of aggravated murder
    • Four counts of murder
    • Two counts of kidnapping
    • One count of aggravated robbery
    • Four counts of felonious assault
    • One count of attempted murder
    • One count of grand theft of a firearm
    • One count of tampering with evidence
    • One count of having weapons while under disability

    Marquell Flemings was indicted on:

    • Two counts of aggravated murder
    • Three counts of murder
    • Two counts of kidnapping
    • Four counts of felonious assault
    • One count of attempted murder

The lower court ordered Marvin Flemings held on a $750,000 bond.

No future court dates have been set.
