Browns sign veteran cornerback to the active roster

BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) — The Cleveland Browns signed cornerback Tony Brown II to the active roster from the practice squad on Thursday.

The team has also signed guard Javion Cohen, defensive tackle Sam Kamara and tight end Blake Whiteheart to the practice squad.

Brown has appeared in three games for Cleveland this season, recording three special teams tackles and a forced fumble.

Brown has appeared in 64 career games with the Packers (2018-19), Bengals (2020-21), Colts (2022-23) and Browns (2024). He has recorded 58 career tackles and one interception, while adding 20 career special teams tackles.

Cohen has appeared in one game this season.

Meanwhile, Kamara appeared in four games and recorded three tackles.

Whiteheart appeared in four games and recorded three receptions for 13 yards and one touchdown.

The Browns visit the Eagles Sunday at 1 p.m. on FOX Youngstown.
