AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A mother will see only 10 days behind bars after pleading guilty this week to two charges of child endangering.

Shavon Hasley, 29, pleaded guilty before Judge Scott Hunter Wednesday to two misdemeanor charges of child endangering — one for each victim.

She was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 170 days suspected for each count, leaving a 10-day jail sentence for either count, which will be served concurrently. Hasley was also ordered to pay $150 fine, serve a year of probation, and seek drug/alcohol abuse assistance.

The charges stem from a June incident where police responded to her home after receiving reports that her children were running around the neighborhood unsupervised and causing issues.

When police spoke to Hasley, reports stated she was intoxicated and the home was in a state of disarray. During an inspection of the house, officers reported that the floor was sticky, there were holes in the walls, the furniture appeared dirty and stained, and the bathroom area was covered in a dirty film.

Earlier this year, Hasley pleaded guilty to child endangering and OVI charges after reports stated she left her child alone in a vehicle while she was drinking in a bar and tried to drive off intoxicated while the child was in the vehicle.
