    Bounty hunter shot serving warrant in Akron neighborhood

    AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – The Akron Police Department is looking for suspects in a shooting that happened Thursday evening.

    According to police, a group of bail bondsmen were attempting to serve a warrant at a home in the 1100 block of 7th Ave. around 8:15 p.m.

    Police say a suspect fired multiple shots from the home, hitting a bounty hunter.

    The bounty hunter, a 37-year-old male, was taken to the hospital in serious condition and has not been identified.

    Officers detained several teenagers in the home who had outstanding warrants, according to a press release.

    No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
