    WRTA receiving state funding

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced more than $23 million in funding support for urban transit entities across the state.

    A total of $23.1 million will be awarded among Ohio’s 26 urban transit agencies, including in Youngstown.

    WRTA will be receiving $602,901.

    The funding will be used for a variety of purposes, such as replacement vehicles, preventative maintenance, facility upgrades and operating assistance.
