PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters on Friday that veteran quarterback Russell Wilson will “probably” be active on Sunday, serving as the No. 2 quarterback.

All signs point to Justin Fields making his sixth straight start.

In every game so far this season, Wilson has been the No. 3/emergency quarterback for the Steelers.

“I like what I’ve seen out here,” Tomlin said of Wilson. “Again, health and rust are two different things. I thought he had a good week displaying his health, his ability to protect himself. Now it’s just a process of getting re-acclimated to the ball.”

Wilson was a full participant in practice all week.

“I’m preparing my mind to get ready to go and everything else, so that’s kind of my mentality and help us win and whatever that is,” Wilson said. “And so yeah, I’m just getting prepared for (today).”

In addition, running back Jaylen Warren, who has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, was a full participant in practice on Friday. He is listed as questionable.

The Steelers visit the Raiders on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. on WKBN-27.
