    Penguins junior named YSU Scholar Athlete

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – YSU Junior Julia Sell has started 13 matches and recorded 35 blocks this season for the Penguin’s volleyball team.

    Last year, she ranked second in the Horizon League with just over one block per set, and offensively, set a career-high with 36 total kills.

    Her 112 total blocks were the fifth-most in the conference and the highest total by a Penguin since 2017.

    Sell was also named an Academic All-District selection for her work in the classroom.
