Phillysha Cummings Wesson, 20, will be sentenced at a later date by Judge Anthony Donofrio following a presentence investigation after her plea to a charge of discharge of a firearm on or near a prohibited premises, a third-degree felony.

    She remains free on bond.

The attorneys are recommending a sentence of 21 months in prison. Prosecutors will not object to early release after a year if Cummings Wesson stays out of trouble in prison.

She is accused of firing several shots at the car of a man she was arguing with at about 8:30 a.m. Dec. 4 at an apartment complex on Tyrell Avenue.

Police said Cummings-Wesson was arguing with a man and blocked his car to prevent him from leaving. Two other women then supplied her with a gun, which she used to fire several shots at the man when he was finally able to drive away.

    No one was hurt.

The man did not call the police, but officers were sent to the area for gunfire.
