    Eleanor L. Anderson, Bristolville, Ohio

    BRISTOLVILLE, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Eleanor Anderson, 89, of Bristolville, Ohio, died on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

    She was born on February 26, 1935, in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of the late Herman Hart and the late Vergretta Shaffer Hart.

    Eleanor graduated from Bristol High School .

    She was employed as a bookkeeper at Newman’s Seafood Company for 20 years.

    She was a member of Wildare Church and was proud of her farming heritage.

    Eleanor enjoyed mowing her six acres of lawn and traveling with her best friend, Rose Vaccar Flesch. She also loved to sing and was a member of Sweet Adeline’s Choral Group.

    Eleanor is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Dominic Vaccar of Bristolville; son-in-law, Pete Leasure of Bristolville; five grandchildren, Jessi (Scott) Downey, Joshua (Emily) Vaccar, Tony Leasure, Abby (Dan) LaValliere, and Katie (Jim) Ross; 13 great-grandchildren, Cooper, Nora, Zeke, Bella, Ava, Dominic, Ella, Jolin, Ben, Andy, Kali, Julia, and C.J.; one great-great-grandson, Dallas; and step-children, Bob (Debbie) and Bill (Kathy) Anderson.

    Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Connie Noble; her second husband, Lee Anderson; and her daughter, Sherry Leasure.

    Eleanor (aka Gram E., GE., Old Geezer, Gram Crackers) had a special relationship with all five of her grandchildren. Their favorite activity for many summers was riding their bikes to her house, eating egg salad and Dorito sandwiches in the camper, playing Banana Rummy, and snacking on her delicious homemade bread and jelly, or stopping at Mr. Bulky’s on the way to the latest movie.

    Eleanor was their biggest fan at as many games and events as she could attend, always cheering them on. Gram and her five grandkids always knew, and will always know, that they love each other “a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.”

    Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home . Friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the funeral home and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Sager Memorial Cemetery.

    The family requests that material contributions be made to the Warren Family Mission, in Eleanor’s memory.

    A television tribute will air Thursday, October 17 at the following approximate times: 6:47 a.m. on WYTV, 9:43 a.m. on WKBN, 10:58 a.m. on FOX and 8:12 p.m. on MyYTV. Video will be posted here the day of airing.
