    Youngstown police investigating after man found shot to death in car

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Police are investigating the city’s 16th homicide of the year after a man was found shot to death in a car on the North Side.

    Lt. Mohammad Awad said the 62-year-old man was found shot multiple times in a car at about 1:30 a.m. at the 400 block of Norwood Avenue on the North Side.

    Reports said that officers tried to perform life-saving measures, but the man had passed away.

    Police gathered shell casings and other forms of evidence outside of the vehicle.

    Last year, Youngstown had 22 homicides. There were 15 homicides at this time last year.
