Woman reports masked gunmen fired shots in her backyard

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said a witness told police Wednesday that three men were in her backyard firing guns while police answered a shots fired call on the South Side.

The witness also told officers that two of the men had masks.

Police were called about 3:05 p.m. to the area of Detroit and East Lucius avenues for gunfire and a gunshot sensor activation. Reports said officers found seven shell casings in a driveway on East Lucius Avenue.

One home was hit by two bullets, reports said.

Reports said witnesses told police a gray SUV was also involved in the gunfire, but reports did not make clear how.

No one was injured.
