YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A man who was charged with beating a woman in January pleaded guilty Wednesday to two charges in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Joshua Clardy, 35, entered guilty pleas before Judge Maureen Sweeney to charges of felonious assault, a second-degree felony and domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.

Sentencing will be at a later date.

Clardy was arrested in February after a woman told police he had beaten her Jan. 26 with a variety of objects. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center to be treated for her injuries.

Reports said the woman had cuts and bruises all over her body.
