AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A standoff situation at a home in Austintown has concluded.

Police from several different agencies responded to the house in Pinecrest Avenue when someone barricaded themselves inside the home.

It is unclear why police were called to the home in the first place.

A cruiser was seen in the driveway with several officers behind it or to the side, some with guns drawn. A negotiator from the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team was called and a drone was deployed.

Neighbors in the area said that they heard gunshots. Other police vehicles, as well as a township fire engine and ambulance, were also on the scene.
