NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (WKBN) – Chase Mitcheltree ran for three touchdowns Friday night, including two late in the game to seal the victory in a 34-17 Wilmington win over Sharpsville.

The Greyhounds jumped in front in the first quarter with two touchdowns (Mitcheltree, Cael Kettering) to take a 14-0 lead.

Sharpsville matched the output before the break with two scores of their own (Jaiden White, Geno Currie), and the game was locked at 14-14 going into halftime.

Wilmington re-took the lead in the third quarter on a Jamie Miller touchdown run.

Rylen Piccirilli’s field goal cut the gap to 21-17 entering the fourth quarter.

Mitcheltree’s second and third touchdowns of the night extended the Greyhounds lead in the fourth quarter and eventually put the game out of reach for Sharpsville.

Sharpsville (6-3) will host Punxsutawney in Week 10. Wilmington (6-2) was scheduled to host Karns City, but the game has been canceled.
