YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Police Friday said they found 1,000 rounds of 9 mm ammunition and a loaded revolver while arresting a man on a warrant.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Fugitive Task Force were at a home in the double-digit block of West Indianola Avenue about 8:30 a.m. and had to knock down a door because no one inside would answer when they announced their presence.

Inside, police found Majed Ali, 37, who was wanted on warrants from Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on charges of aggravated menacing, a fourth-degree felony, and violation of a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Ali was found in the office area of the home and told police there was a gun, reports said. Reports said police found a loaded .38-caliber revolver on a desk as well as a case of 9mm ammunition that had 1,000 rounds.

Ali was taken to the Mahoning County Jail to await his next court date. The gun and ammunition were also seized because of the protection order against Ali, reports said.
