YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Robert A. Gabrelcik, Jr., 74, peacefully passed away with family by his side on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Youngstown.

Bob was a graduate of Ursuline High School before attending Youngstown State University and community college to obtain various certifications.

He retired at 18 years as a mechanic from the Upper Occoquan Sewage Authority in Virginia and moved back home to Youngstown in 2005. He also worked as a millwright in the steel mills.

Bob enjoyed rooting for the Steelers, reading, crossword puzzles, golfing, visiting friends in Virginia and traveling to his family property in Van Voris, Pennsylvania. As a jack-of-all-trades, he was always fixing something or working on remodeling projects. Bob will certainly be remembered for his playfully grouchy sense of humor.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Robert, Sr. and his beloved cat, Aspen.

Bob is survived by his children, Michelle Massuccio (granddaughter, Holly), Robert III (granddaughter, Carlie) and Timothy (granddaughter, Liana); stepsons, Anthony (Lori), Christopher (Tammy), Jeffrey (Jeanette) and Patrick; along with over 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren…and even his ex-wife, Michelle McCabe. He leaves his sisters, Diane Hoffman and Sam Kolendowicz of California and Valerie Philips of Colorado and many dear cousins in Pennsylvania.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. Angela Merici Church, 397 S. Jackson Street in Youngstown followed by an 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass.

Arrangements handled by Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home. Family and friends are encouraged to offer prayers for the family and support via phone call, text, email or may visit the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com .
