Multiple traffic alerts for downtown Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Multiple new road updates have been announced on Friday for downtown Youngstown.

The west side of Market Street between Boardman Street and Commerce Street has been opened to through traffic north and southbound with lane restrictions. The eastern side of the roadway remains closed due to the Realty Building demolition .

Champion Street has been reopened to traffic north and southbound between East Boardman Street and East Federal Street.

Water main replacement on East Boardman Street between Market Street and South Walnut Street will begin on Monday, August 19. Thru traffic will continue as much as possible. No overnight parking is permitted, and the project is expected to last four months. Detour signs will be posted accordingly, and pedestrian access will remain open.
