    Saraland contestant on national singing television show to host free concert

    SARALAND, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A local singer who found stardom on a nationally televised singing competition will perform a free concert on Saturday.

    Corey Curtis, 22, made his appearance on The Voice at the beginning of March, singing “Waiting on the World to Change” by John Mayer.

    “I’m originally from Summerville, Ga., but I’m based in Saraland, Ala. now,” said Curtis.

    The concert will be held at Spartan Ridge Apartments on Saturday, March 16, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. There will be an autograph singing along with food trucks and door prizes.
