    Fire damages home in Escambia County, Florida

    ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Officials with the Florida Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives are investigating after a fire heavily damages a home in Escambia County, Florida Thursday.

    Firefighters were called to a home on Adkinson Drive Thursday morning just before 11. They brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes. A Facebook post from Escambia County Fire Rescue says no one was hurt. Images from the scene show smoke coming from the roof of a single-story home and heavy damage inside to at least one room.

    Thanks to the quick response, firefighters say the home can be repaired and occupied. The cause is under investigation.
