    Portion of Baldwin County road to be impassable for over a month (details)

    BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Some Baldwin County drivers may not be able to take their usual routes as the county announced a scheduled impasse.

    According to a county press release, a portion of NW 1st Street between County Road 36 (Greenwood Road and Broadway Avenue) will be impassable to through traffic starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19.

    The impasse, which is scheduled to last through 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, is in place for drainage improvements.

    During the closure, drivers are asked to take the detour route shown in the provided map. The route includes E Greenwood Road, NE 7th Street, and E Hamm Avenue.
