Chipley man killed in single-vehicle crash: FHP

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A Chipley man was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Wednesday afternoon in Washington County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to an FHP news release, the crash occurred at the intersection of US Highway 90 and New Prospect Road around 12:17 p.m.

LOCATION:

The 70-year-old man who was killed in the crash was traveling west on US Highway 90.

“Driver 1 failed to maintain a single lane which resulted in Vehicle 1 exiting the south side of the Roadway,” the FHP release said. “Vehicle 1 then overturned in the ditch.”

The driver was in a sport utility vehicle, which came to a final rest on its roof on the south side of US Highway 90.
