    Florida Highway Patrol investigating West Pensacola hit-and-run

    WEST PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

    According to a news release from FHP, a blue van hit a power pole on W Jackson Street near the intersection with N 48th Avenue around 2:23 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21.

    FHP officials said the roadway was blocked due to a power line down in the roadway as they waited for Florida Power and Light to respond to the scene.

    Florida 511 showed that the roadway has since been reopened.
