The FHP said in a press release that the crash, which happened at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Tippin Avenue around 9 p.m. on Aug. 21, involved an SUV driven by a 32-year-old Pensacola woman and a motorcycle driven by a teenage male from Rochester, Minn.

    INCIDENT LOCATION:

According to crash reports, the teen was driving the motorcycle in the right travel lane on 9th Avenue, just north of Tippin Avenue, and the SUV was traveling southbound on 9th Avenue, preparing to turn left into a parking lot.

According to the FHP, the crash happened when the SUV driver didn’t see the motorcycle and turned left. Although the SUV driver reportedly attempted to stop to avoid a collision, the motorcycle collided with the right side of the SUV.

The collision resulted in the teen being propelled onto the roadway while the motorcycle continued to travel into a parking lot, where it hit a parked vehicle.
