Meet the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama: ‘We are funders’

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A lot of the fight to find a cure for breast cancer is happening in Alabama, and a lot of that fight is possible due to research.

Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama President and CEO Beth Davis went on the Red Couch to speak with WKRG News 5’s Shamonee Baker and Bill Riales about how that research is possible.

According to Davis, the research needs to be funded, and that is where the foundation comes in. She said, “We are not researchers, we are funders.”

The foundation awards $50,000 in grants to support new avenues of cancer research.
