High School Football player in Alabama dies after game injury

SELMA, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A high school football player has died after being injured during a game Friday. Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) officials say Morgan Academy junior quarterback, Caden Tellier, was critically injured during their game on Friday against Southern Academy.

A Post from John T. Morgan Academy Saturday says Tellier passed away.

“There are no words to describe how we feel as a school, community and family, ” wrote Headmaster Dr. Bryan Oliver . “Caden loved the Lord with all his heart and was a shining light every day he graced the halls of Morgan Academy.”

The school also shared a Gofundme page set up in Tellier’s honor .
