UPDATE: Talladega Trail stabbing in Escambia County, Florida, took place at ‘known drug house,’ sheriff’s office says

UPDATE (Aug. 26, 10:47 a.m.): News 5 has learned more about an incident that left one woman dead and a man seriously wounded on Sunday.

According to a spokesperson with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the home on Talladega Trail, where the man and woman were found, was known for criminal activity.

“It is a known drug house,” the spokesperson told News 5.

ECSO said authorities previously conducted a narcotics search and found fentanyl. The sheriff’s office also said they determined the cause of injury was stab wounds, not gunshots, as reported on the crime map.

There have been no reports of arrests made in the incident, and there have been no updates on the state of the male victim, who was last said to have serious injuries.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Deputies are investigating after a woman was found dead in a home and a man was seriously wounded.

A spokesperson for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a home on Talladega Trail Sunday morning and found a woman dead inside. A man was taken to medical care with serious injuries.

The spokesperson couldn’t say at this time how the two were injured. A post on the Escambia County Crime map indicates they responded to a call for a shooting victim on Talladega Trail. As far as we know, no arrests have been made.
