    Anthony Lowery sworn in as new Baldwin County Sheriff

    ROBERTSDALE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — In a quiet ceremony in a conference room in Robersdale, former Chief Deputy of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Anthony Lowery was sworn in as the new Sheriff of Baldwin County.

    With his son Avery by his side and holding the family Bible, Judge Jody Bishop administered the oath of office.

    Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack reflects on long career, looks forward to next chapter

    Lowery takes over from Sheriff Hoss Mack who vacated the remainder of his term to accept the position of executive director of the Alabama Sheriff’s Association. His retirement becomes effective at midnight on Aug. 31.

    A more formal swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for next week in Bay Minette.
