“Yeah, National Beach Day is really exciting for us. So we’re here at the Interpretive Center, which is Alabama’s most sustainable building in the state. So we are giving some tours, sort of bringing people through here doing some eco art,” says Leah Schultz, Educator Naturalist for The Learning Campus.

“Hoping to give people a nice presentation for when they find shells here on our Gulf State Park beaches and in general just sending them into the park.”

The Learning Campus offers free activities daily for kids and adults, like science classes and bird watching. They are open five days a week, with an evolving weekly calendar.

They also have bunk housing and host field trips and corporate events. Their education program is only about one year old; they are excited to continue expanding.

They tell us they are excited about many events coming in the next few months.
