MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — UMS-Wright bounced back in week two of the high school football season with a big region win over LeFlore. Bulldogs senior running back Bo Wills was the star of the show — earning him our Zaxby’s Player of the Week honors for week two!

Wills accounted for two touchdowns and over 150 yards in the Bulldogs’ first win of the season.

“Bo’s just like you say, he’s been in the program,” UMS-Wright head coach Terry Curtis said. “He’s played every position; he’s played defense. He played quarterback in middle school. He does whatever we need to play. Now he’s playing tight end, blocking back or fullback, whatever you want to call it, running back. All the positions he plays quarterback in the Wildcat.”

“Feels great. You know, tough loss week one,” Wills said. “We really needed to come out strong week two, get a big win and get some momentum in the region. I think one thing it’ll give us all some confidence for sure is going into B.C. Rain.”

The Bulldogs will look to improve to 2-1 on the season when they take on B.C. Rain on Friday night.
